Fourth Meeting of the Steering Committee of the project ‘Extension of the voivodeship road No 812 on the section Korolowka – Wlodawa’ implemented within the Cross-border Cooperation Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine, held on 25th and 26th of September, at the venue of the Marshal’s Office of Lubelskie Voivodeship in Lublin. The meeting was chaired by Mr Zdzisław Szwed, the Member of the Management Board of the Lubelskie Voivodeship. Ukrainian delegation was headed by Mr Valentin Tsos, Deputy Head of the Volyn Regional State Administration. The current state of the project implementation was presented during the meeting. The progress of the construction works was presented in details. The issues related to the road infrastructure oin the Polish-Ukrainian borderland, planned border crossing point in Zbereże-Adamczuki and current situation on the border area was also discussed.
On September 26th the Ukrainian delegation together with Polish members of the Steering Committee had the possibility to observe the progress of the construction works in Korolówka and Włodawa, familiarise with the process of the road development and the techniques used, that were presented in details by Mr Paweł Szumera, the director of the Regional Road Administration in Lublin and Mr Paweł Kędzior, Project Manager.
During the study visit they visited also the bridge of a steel truss structure, built on 1934, that links Puławy city with Góra Puławska. The reconstruction of the bridge is performed by Regional Road Administration in Lublin. The bridge earlier used as the only way to cross the river currently, after the construction of a new bridge near city of Puławy, is used for local purposes.
