Completion of works of the regional road No 812 on the section Korolowka – Włodawa

On July 9th, Mr Zdzisław Szwed, the Member of the Management Board of the Lubelskie Voivodeship opened the regional road No 812 on the section Korolowka – Włodawa.

It is one of the most import ant investment on the territory of Włodawa Commune – Extension of the voivodeship road No 812 on the section Korolowka – Wlodawa. The investment was realised by Regional Road Administration in Lublin, as a main part of the project realised within Cross-border Cooperation Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2014-2020 an financed from the ENI sources. The works were realised by the company STRABAG Sp. z o.o.

The extension of this road, connecting Biała Podlaska with the border crossing point significantly influence the accession of the border region., increase the safety of the transit cars traffic going from the border crossing point in Dorohusk to Biała Podlaska, Białystok and border crossing points with Lithuania. The reconstruction of the urban section in Włodawa, connecting the national road No 82 with the city centre  will significantly improve the journey of tourists traveling from Lublin, Biała Podlaska and the northern part of Poland to the Białe Lake, both for tourists traveling by car as the bicycle lovers.
The implementation of the aforementioned investment will have a positive impact on road traffic conditions in the border area iwithin the road network of the Lubelskie Voivodeship, through faster and better access to areas attractive for tourists on both sides of the Polish-Ukrainian border, such as: Łęczyńsko – Włodawskie Lakeland in Poland and Szacki National Park in Ukraine.
This will contribute to the development of international tourism, the development of road services for residents on both sides of the border, while increasing the accessibility of border regions and their attractiveness for tourists, as well as raising the availability of border regions and their attractiveness for tourists.
