On December 11 – 12 2018, first meetings of the Steering Committee of a project ‘Extension of the voivodeship road No 812 on the section Korolowka – Wlodawa’ held on in Lublin. Both partners nominated the members of the Steering Committee, and it was composed of the representatives of the Marshal’s Office of Lubelskie Voivodship and Of the Regional Road Administration in Lublin, from Polish side and of the representatives of the Volyn Regional State Administration from Ukrainian side. During the meeting, the rules of procedures have been approved. The project management structure , up-to date report, and plans for the next months of the project implementation have been approved.
During the meeting, the infrastructure projects related to the voivodeship roads modernisation and reconstruction financed with the EU financial support within the Regional Operational Programme and a Programme Eastern Poland were presented by Mr. Andrzej Gwozda, the director of the Regional Road Administration in Lublin.
Mr. Valeriy Krivorog, Head of the Patronage Service of the Volyn Regional State Administration Apparatus presented infrastructure projects realised currently in Volyn Oblast, including two projects co-financed by EU in Lutsk, and the numerous infrastructure projects related to the reconstruction and building of the new roads, financed from the Ukrainian state budget.
During the visit, official meetings of the representatives of the Volyn Regional State Administration with Mr. Zbigniew Wojciechowski, Deputy Marshal of Lubelskie voivodship and Zdzisław Szwed, Member of the Management Board of the Lubelskie Voivodship were held. The meeting was concentrated on the necessity to build a new border crossing point Zbereże-Adamczuki together with the appropriate routes, as well as cooperation between two regions on the field of the cultural heritage and tourism. Both sides declared to support the idea to build this new border crossing point on the Polish-Ukrainian border, underlying at the same time the need of the close mutual cooperation for sustainable development of the border regions.
During the second day of the Ukrainian’s visit, the meeting of Mr Valerii Krivorog, the official representative of the Head of the Volyn Regional State Administration and Mr. Igor Chulipa, a Director of the Department for Economy and European Integration of the Volyn Regional State Administration had a meeting with Mr Przemysław Czarnek, the Voivode of Lubeslkie. Mr Zbigniew Wojciechowski, the deputy Marshal of Lubelskie Voivodship and Mr Wasyl Pawluk, the General Consul of Ukraine in Lublin participated. During the meeting, the issues related to the building of the new border crossing point in Zbereże-Adamczuki and extension of the crossing point in Dorohusk and the road connections to this points were discussed in details.
During the meeting in Włodawa, held in the Regional Office of Voivodship Roads, the Ukrainian representatives had the opportunity to study in details the project of the reconstruction of the voivodeship road No 812, road project’s vertical and horizontal sheets, planned scope of reconstruction and extension and with the innovative method that will be used for the reconstruction works.
The group checked current condition of the road No 812, on two points of the road between Korolowka and Wlodawa, and on the crossing round bound in Wlodawa. The on-site visit in the location of the project gave the attendees a possibility to check the critical road condition, damages in the road concrete surface, slots, ruptures, and wide breaks between separate concrete blocks. Attendees noticed the high level of noise produced by the vehicle’s wheels when moving on the road.
